道路在黄色的树林中分成两条

很遗憾我不能同时涉足
旅行者应该做出选择，为此，我踌躇许久
沿着一条路的方向，极目远望
直到它在灌木丛中蜿蜒消失
然后选择了另外的一条路，如此的美丽
可能我的选择是对的
这里芳草鲜美，落英缤纷
尽管只是经过那里
看起来一样的两条路
同样的清晨，同样的宁静
铺满了落叶的路上没有脚印
噢，另外那条路让我下次再走吧
然而，长路漫漫无止境
也许没有机会再回头
这将在我的记忆中留下一个烙印
许多年以后，当我回顾往事的时候：
我会想起树林里的那两条路，
而我，选择了较少人走的一条，
从此决定了我一生的道路。

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I couldn't travel both
And be one traveler，long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth
Then took the other , as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that passing there
Had worn them really about the same
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black

Oh , I kept the first for another day
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back
I shall be telling this with a sign
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood , and I
I took the one less traveled by
And that had made all difference !

诗人小简

罗伯特·福斯特（Robert Lee Frost，1874-1963），美国诗人，曾四度问鼎普利策奖。

1874年3月26日生于美国西部的旧金山。他11岁丧父，之后随母亲迁居新英格兰。此后，他就与那块土地结下了不解之缘。16岁开始学写诗，20岁时正式发表第一首诗歌。他勤奋笔耕，一生中共出了10多本诗集。他一生历尽艰辛和痛苦，幼年丧父，中年丧妻，老年丧子。

成名后的福斯特受聘于多所大学，经党外出读诗和演讲，“经常拖着病体疲惫不堪地回家。”他诗歌中常常出现与孤独、绝望、死亡等关联的意象如冬、雪、冰、霜、枯叶等。因此，佛洛斯特常常以凋零的玫瑰、干枯的花朵等以喻体以映衬孤独、悲哀、寂寞的内心世界。
